Adriano Azevedo


Adriano Azevedo preferably conducted his career playing with groups of Gospel music, Jazz and Bossa Nova and is founder of the first school specializing in rhythm of the State of Ceará, the "Institute of Drums Adriano Azevedo," which takes its name because it is a school directed learning specific instrument.

The musician accompanied names of Brazilian music as Riberiro Pery, Leny Andrade, Joao Donato, Boca Livre, Ednardo, Melchior, Manasseh, Lô Borges, Katia Freitas, David Duarte, acting in the gospel scene followed: Eugene George, Father Fabio de Melo, Ziza, Ricardo Sa, Sister Patricia Kelly, Adriana, Dunga, Flavinho, Suely Achievement, Rachel Valley Band and the Sons of David which has been a member for 10 years. He graduated in music from State University of Ceara and Postgraduate in Scientific Research by the same institution, is the author of scientific research "Battery adapted to Baião."

Currently performs with the bands Groovytown (SAMBA-ROCK), Sister Patricia Kelly and Adriano Azevedo and Quintet (LATIN JAZZ), both prominent in the music scene Ceará, each in his musical style, demonstrating his versatility. The instrumentalist Ceará, was featured in four editions of the Jazz & Blues Festival in Guaramiranga (2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004), which formed the basis for recording his first solo album, released in 2005 on the stage of the famous Festival. Also participated in several projects such as Project Brazilian Soils (Government of the State of Ceará), Petruchio Maia Music Shows (Municipality of Fortaleza), Petrobras Project (opening show of Edson Cordeiro), Guanabara Project, Project BEC Six and a Half, Jazz at the Center Project (Bank of Northeast Brazil), basket BRAZIL (SESC São Paulo), Project Instrumental CDL (club directors tenants) among others. Hadrian was also a member of the faculty of the Conservatory Alberto Nepomuceno, a fellow of the College Souza Lima & Berklee (SP), won 1st place in the International Music Festival in Natal (RN), Member of prominence in the IV Festival of Music in Ibiapaba in 2007 and 2008 events held by the State Government of Ceara and currently teaches classes in the state by UVA (University of Vale do Acaraú).

Drummer for talent and conviction, the Ceará Adriano Azevedo is appointed by Pascoal Meirelles (Cama de Gato / RJ) as one of the best musicians that have recently arisen (Imprensa/RJ-23/02/03 Tribune). Active in the movement instrumental Brazilian musician travels the Northeast courses and workshops in script incursando didactic teaching classes over the different perspectives of the instrument, giving special attention to the northeastern rhythms.
