SONOR at this year's Musikmesse

SONOR at this year's Musikmesse

Another huge success was SONOR's this years Musikmesse participation. The international trade show for musical instruments took place in March, welcoming thousands of music enthusiasts. Besides displaying news that were already shown at this years Winter NAMM show in January, some brandnew highlights were displayed, too.

The "Perfect Balance by Jojo Mayer" pedal was launched worldwide at this years Musikmesse. The pedal is without a doubt the most innovative product in the hardware market seen for years. It offers a perfectly balanced feel, and a ingenious folding mechanism that is connected with the bass drum hoop clamp mechanism. Check out the video.

On Saturday, the booth was surrounded by hundreds of people that waited in line for their signed copy of the SONOR "GlobalBeat" newspaper. SONOR artists Noby Lehmann (Rhythmtalk), Jojo Mayer (Nerve), Mikkey Dee (Motörhead), Michael Wolpers (Independent), René Cremers and Wim De Vries (Drumbassadors), Dennis Poschwatta (Guano Apes), Chris Coleman (NKOTB), Emmanuelle Caplette (Independent) and Florian Alexandru-Zorn (Independent) were on site to sign.

One unquestioned Eyecatcher to be seen at the show was Mikkey Dee's (Motörhead) original SQ2 touring drumkit. All wrapped in a stunning custom design made by Motörhead's album designer Mark De Vito, the kit surrounded the new Signature Snare Drum. Check out the video featuring Mikkey.
