SONOR is proud to announce the latest addition to its family of artists, Ryan "RVP" Van Poederooyen from Devin Townsend Project!!

Ryan "RVP" Van Poederooyen is an ambitious, creative and dedicated drummer from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He mainly owes his fame to being the drummer for Devin Townsend since 2002, in the Devin Townsend Project (Current) and the now defunct Devin Townsend Band (2002-2006). Ryan also play's drums for a metal band he formed in 2007 called Terror Syndrome. He also joined a side-project in 2007 called Ten Ways, which is a progressive rock band formed by former ex-Devin Townsend Band members Dave and Mike Young.

Currently, Ryan keeps himself busy yearly with touring, rehearsing, writing and recording albums with the Devin Townsend Project. They're a very active touring act world-wide. Tour locations over the years include their home country of Canada to the U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand, South America, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Scandinavia, United Kingdom, Ireland, and almost every country in Europe. The list of new territory for the Devin Townsend Project to tour grows every year. The DTP are primarily a headlining band world-wide. Their shows average from 1000 - 6000 people a night along with great slots at Major Summer Festivals.

Says Ryan: "At this point in my career, I want to represent what I truly think are the best sounding drums on the planet, just like the rest of the gear I endorse. It’s no disrespect to my previous drum endorsement, they make excellent drums as well and are a great company. It was the fact that the specific sound I’m looking for and have loved for almost 30 years, IS that Sonor Drum sound. To my absolute pleasure, Sonor welcomed me with open arms. My 'Drum Dream’ came true. I finally get to play and endorse my dream drum kit. A Sonor drum kit."
